<p>My kids love a good bowl of soup. I feel like I hit the jackpot in that they will eat a whole bowl (or more) of <a href="https://mommakesdinner.com/?s=soup" data-wpel-link="internal">homemade soup</a> with no complaints. No.complaints! That&#8217;s huge! This chicken noodle soup with corn is no exception &#8211; everyone in the house loves it! </p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>What Is Chicken Corn Noodle Soup?</strong></h2>

<p>Chicken Corn Noodle Soup is a hearty and comforting soup consisting of juicy chicken breast, sauteed vegetables, corn, tender egg noodles, and a rich and flavorful chicken broth.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The soup resembles classic soups like chicken noodle soup and corn chowder, which may have influenced its origin. This easy soup starts with a sauteed vegetable base and browned chicken pieces cooked in chicken broth, with the noodles and corn added towards the end of the cooking time to preserve texture for best results!</p>

<p></p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Ingredient Notes</strong></h2>

<p><strong>Onion, celery and carrot </strong>&#8211; Can all be found in the produce section of the grocery store. It is suggested to use fresh over frozen for these veggies. </p>

<p><strong>Chicken</strong> &#8211; We love boneless, skinless chicken breasts for our soup. Feel free to use whatever chicken you like or have on hand. </p>

<p><strong>Egg noodles</strong> &#8211; These can be found in the pasta aisle. They are wide noodles that cook up fast and are a nice soft addition to any soup.</p>

<p><strong>Corn</strong> &#8211; You have a couple options for the corn. You can use fresh off the cob, you can use from the can, or you can use frozen. You will need one can of creamed corn in addition to regular whole kernel corn. </p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>How to Make Chicken Corn Noodle Soup?</strong></h2>

<p><strong>Step 1:</strong> Melt the butter over medium heat in a 6-quart pot or dutch oven and saute the vegetables until soft and tender.</p>

<p><strong>Step 2:</strong> Add the chicken to the pot and season.</p>

<p><strong>Step 3:</strong> Pour the chicken broth over the ingredients in the pot and bring the mixture to a boil. Once boiling, cover the pot and allow it to simmer for about 20 minutes or until the chicken reaches 165F internally and is no longer pink.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p><strong>Step 4:</strong> Uncover the pot and bring it to a boil once more, stirring in the noodles and corn.&nbsp;</p>

<p><strong>Step 5:</strong> Reduce the heat to medium and cook for another 8 minutes, occasionally stirring, until the noodles are tender.&nbsp;</p>

<li>Cook for another 30 minutes or until noodles are soft. </li>

<p></p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Recipe FAQs</h2>

<p><strong>Can I Use Chicken Thighs Instead?</strong></p>

<p>Yes, you can! In fact, using chicken thighs can add more flavor and richness to the soup than chicken breast since thighs have more fat and connective tissue, making the soup richer and more flavorful.</p>

<p>If you opt to use chicken thighs, I recommend using skinless, boneless ones for convenience.&nbsp;</p>

<p><strong>Can I Use Frozen Corn?</strong></p>

<p>Absolutely! Frozen corn is a convenient and affordable option and works well in soups. Whether using whole kernel canned corn or frozen corn, remember to add it to the pot towards the end of the cooking time, or it can become overly soft and mushy.&nbsp;</p>

<p><strong>How Should I Store Leftovers?</strong></p>

<p>Once completely cooled, store leftover chicken corn noodle soup in an airtight container (Tupperware or Ziploc bag) in the fridge for 3-4 days.&nbsp;</p>

<p><strong>Can I Freeze Chicken Corn Noodle Soup?</strong></p>

<p>Yes! Extend the shelf life of your soup by freezing it in an airtight container for up to 2-3 months. Thaw overnight in the fridge and reheat on the stovetop or in the microwave.&nbsp;</p>

<p>If the soup has thickened in storage, stir some additional chicken broth into the mixture while reheating it.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Grab your favorite slow cooker and let&#8217;s make a whole pot of hot chocolate! In fact, this Easy Crock Pot Hot Chocolate will not only be a huge kid for the kids, but the adults will love it too. It&#8217;s easy to make and will have your whole house smelling like the holidays. Let me show you how to make this crock pot hot chocolate today! </p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><a href="https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/Slow-Cooker-Hot-Chocolate-Sample-1-7.jpg" data-wpel-link="internal"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="683" height="1024" src="https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/Slow-Cooker-Hot-Chocolate-Sample-1-7-683x1024.jpg" alt="easy crock pot hot chocolate recipe" class="wp-image-28154" srcset="https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/Slow-Cooker-Hot-Chocolate-Sample-1-7-683x1024.jpg 683w, https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/Slow-Cooker-Hot-Chocolate-Sample-1-7-200x300.jpg 200w, https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/Slow-Cooker-Hot-Chocolate-Sample-1-7-768x1152.jpg 768w, https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/Slow-Cooker-Hot-Chocolate-Sample-1-7-1024x1536.jpg 1024w, https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/Slow-Cooker-Hot-Chocolate-Sample-1-7-1366x2048.jpg 1366w, https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/Slow-Cooker-Hot-Chocolate-Sample-1-7-150x225.jpg 150w, https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/Slow-Cooker-Hot-Chocolate-Sample-1-7.jpg 1667w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 683px) 100vw, 683px" /></a></figure></div>

<p>Hot chocolate has to be the best drink to have during the holiday season. It&#8217;s creamy, delicious, hot on cold days and can be enjoyed by adults and kids alike. In fact, it&#8217;s a drink that my kids look forward each holiday season. The best part of this drink? It&#8217;s super easy to make in the crock pot! </p>

<p class="has-text-align-center"><em>If you love white chocolate, be sure to check out my <a href="https://mommakesdinner.com/starbucks-white-hot-chocolate/" data-wpel-link="internal">white hot chocolate recipe</a>! It&#8217;s decadent, creamy and perfect for white chocolate fans! </em></p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">What is crock pot hot chocolate?</h2>

<p>Hot chocolate is a combination of chocolate and milk mixed together. It creates a creamy and delicious drink that is perfect for the cooler months. This recipe takes traditional hot chocolate and makes it even simpler by using your slow cooker. My kids love hot chocolate in any form, but they get super excited when we make it in the crock pot! </p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Easy crock pot hot chocolate ingredients</h2>

<p>Like most hot chocolate recipes, you only need a few common ingredients to make it. This crock pot version is no different! To make this creamy slow cooker hot chocolate you will need: </p>

<ul class="wp-block-list"><li>semi-sweet chocolate chips</li><li>cocoa powder</li><li>sugar</li><li>heavy cream</li><li>milk </li><li>vanilla extract</li></ul>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><a href="https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/Slow-Cooker-Hot-Chocolate-Process-1.jpg" data-wpel-link="internal"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/Slow-Cooker-Hot-Chocolate-Process-1-1024x683.jpg" alt="image of the ingredients needed to make slow cooker hot chocolate" class="wp-image-28161" srcset="https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/Slow-Cooker-Hot-Chocolate-Process-1-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/Slow-Cooker-Hot-Chocolate-Process-1-300x200.jpg 300w, https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/Slow-Cooker-Hot-Chocolate-Process-1-768x512.jpg 768w, https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/Slow-Cooker-Hot-Chocolate-Process-1-1536x1024.jpg 1536w, https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/Slow-Cooker-Hot-Chocolate-Process-1-2048x1366.jpg 2048w, https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/Slow-Cooker-Hot-Chocolate-Process-1-150x100.jpg 150w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></a></figure></div>

<p><strong>Chocolate chips</strong> &#8211; You can use any kind of chocolate chip that you prefer in this recipe. We enjoy semi-sweet chips, but dark chocolate and even milk chocolate are great options. </p>

<p><strong>Cocoa powder</strong> &#8211; Use a high quality cocoa powder. The better the quality the cocoa powder, the better tasting your hot chocolate will be. I suggest a <a href="https://amzn.to/3q0Sc4X" data-wpel-link="external" target="_blank" rel="nofollow external noopener">Dutch process cocoa</a>, but any cocoa powder will work. </p>

<p><strong>Sugar </strong>&#8211; Plain, white sugar is what you will need for this hot chocolate recipe. </p>

<p><strong>Heavy cream</strong> &#8211; Don&#8217;t skip the heavy cream in this recipe! It is what makes the hot chocolate creamy and extra delicious! </p>

<p><strong>Milk</strong> &#8211; Use whatever milk you prefer, but I have found that whole milks makes this hot chocolate creamier than 2% or skim. </p>

<p><strong>Vanilla extract </strong>&#8211; I love making and using <a href="https://growingupgabel.com/homemade-vanilla-extract-recipe/" data-wpel-link="external" target="_blank" rel="nofollow external noopener">homemade vanilla extract</a> since it&#8217;s so much cheaper. (It also makes a great gift!) Feel free to use whatever extract you have on hand. </p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">How to make hot chocolate in the crock pot</h2>

<p>Once you have gathered all the ingredients, you will also need to grab your slow cooker, measuring cups and spoons, a large spoon and a ladle. This recipe really couldn&#8217;t be any easier. </p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><a href="https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/Slow-Cooker-Hot-Chocolate-Process-2.jpg" data-wpel-link="internal"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/Slow-Cooker-Hot-Chocolate-Process-2-1024x683.jpg" alt="Crock pot hot chocolate recipe" class="wp-image-28157" srcset="https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/Slow-Cooker-Hot-Chocolate-Process-2-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/Slow-Cooker-Hot-Chocolate-Process-2-300x200.jpg 300w, https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/Slow-Cooker-Hot-Chocolate-Process-2-768x512.jpg 768w, https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/Slow-Cooker-Hot-Chocolate-Process-2-1536x1024.jpg 1536w, https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/Slow-Cooker-Hot-Chocolate-Process-2-2048x1366.jpg 2048w, https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/Slow-Cooker-Hot-Chocolate-Process-2-150x100.jpg 150w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></a></figure></div>

<p><strong>Step 1 Add ingredients to crock pot </strong>Place all of your ingredients in the slow cooker and give it a stir to combine. Put the lid on. </p>

<p><strong>Step 2 Melt the chocolate</strong> Cook the hot chocolate on LOW for 2 to 2 1/2 hours or until the chocolate chips are melted and everything is heated through. Stir to combine the melted chocolate chips well. </p>

<p><strong>Step 3 Serve</strong> Pour your easy crock pot hot chocolate into mugs and top with marshmallows. </p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">How to make hot chocolate in the Instant Pot</h2>

<p>You can easily make this hot chocolate in your Instant Pot! It&#8217;s a great way to be able to enjoy this sweet drink even faster. Follow these simple directions on how to make <a href="https://mommakesdinner.com/zebra-hot-chocolate/" data-wpel-link="internal">hot chocolate in the Instant Pot</a>. (This recipe uses white chocolate to make it a &#8220;zebra&#8221; version, but you can use all milk chocolate chips instead.) </p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">How to make hot chocolate on the stove top</h2>

<p>Don&#8217;t want to use your Crock Pot or your Instant Pot? No problem! You can make this easy hot chocolate recipe on your stove top! Follow my recipe for <a href="https://mommakesdinner.com/starbucks-white-hot-chocolate/" data-wpel-link="internal">white hot</a> chocolate but replace the white chocolate chips with milk chocolate or semi-sweet chocolate chips. </p>

<p>We love this hot chocolate on a cold day. We set it to cook and can smell it throughout the house. It also makes a great addition to any holiday party or event. This hot chocolate is great plain, but we love to add toppings to it. Some of our favorite toppings are: </p>

<ul class="wp-block-list"><li>mini marshmallows</li><li><a href="https://mommakesdinner.com/chocolate-sauce-with-cocoa-powder/" data-wpel-link="internal">chocolate sauce</a></li><li>sprinkles </li><li>cookie crumbles</li><li>ice cream &#8211; A scoop of ice cream in this hot chocolate is amazing!</li><li>peppermint sticks</li></ul>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">How do you melt chocolate in a Crock Pot?</h2>

<p>You can easily melt chocolate in your crock pot! For this crock pot hot chocolate, add all of your ingredients, including your chocolate, to your slow cooker. Set your slow cooker to cook on LOW for 2 hours. The heat from the slow cooker and the liquid will melt the chocolate. All you need to do is stir it together to combine. </p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Can I make this dairy-free?</h2>

<p>Yes, you absolutely can! I would swap the milk for your favorite dairy-free alternative and use full fat coconut cream for the heavy cream. </p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><a href="https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/Slow-Cooker-Hot-Chocolate-Sample-1-13.jpg" data-wpel-link="internal"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/Slow-Cooker-Hot-Chocolate-Sample-1-13-1024x683.jpg" alt="how to make easy slow cooker hot chocolate" class="wp-image-28156" srcset="https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/Slow-Cooker-Hot-Chocolate-Sample-1-13-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/Slow-Cooker-Hot-Chocolate-Sample-1-13-300x200.jpg 300w, https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/Slow-Cooker-Hot-Chocolate-Sample-1-13-768x512.jpg 768w, https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/Slow-Cooker-Hot-Chocolate-Sample-1-13-1536x1024.jpg 1536w, https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/Slow-Cooker-Hot-Chocolate-Sample-1-13-2048x1366.jpg 2048w, https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/Slow-Cooker-Hot-Chocolate-Sample-1-13-150x100.jpg 150w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></a></figure></div>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Hot chocolate variations </h2>

<p>This hot chocolate is delicious just the way it is, but you can always jazz it up a bit by trying some of the variations below.</p>

<ul class="wp-block-list"><li>Add peppermint syrup to make a <a href="https://mommakesdinner.com/peppermint-white-hot-chocolate/" data-wpel-link="internal">peppermint hot chocolate</a></li><li>Add pumpkin to make a <a href="https://mommakesdinner.com/pumpkin-white-hot-chocolate/" data-wpel-link="internal">pumpkin hot chocolate</a></li><li>You can add caramel sauce and a pinch of salt to make it a salted caramel hot chocolate</li><li>Use a combination and white and regular chocolate to make a <a href="https://mommakesdinner.com/zebra-hot-chocolate/" data-wpel-link="internal">zebra hot chocolate</a></li><li>Add instant coffee to make a caffeinated version </li><li>You can also make it adults only by adding marshmallow vodka</li></ul>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">How to store leftovers</h2>

<p>Place any leftover hot chocolate in a Tupperware with a secure lid and set it in the fridge. It will stay fresh for 3-4 days. Reheat in the microwave or if you have time, add it back to your Crock Pot to warm up again. </p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><a href="https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/Slow-Cooker-Hot-Chocolate-Sample-1-10.jpg" data-wpel-link="internal"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/Slow-Cooker-Hot-Chocolate-Sample-1-10-1024x683.jpg" alt="the best crock pot hot chocolate recipe" class="wp-image-28155" srcset="https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/Slow-Cooker-Hot-Chocolate-Sample-1-10-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/Slow-Cooker-Hot-Chocolate-Sample-1-10-300x200.jpg 300w, https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/Slow-Cooker-Hot-Chocolate-Sample-1-10-768x512.jpg 768w, https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/Slow-Cooker-Hot-Chocolate-Sample-1-10-1536x1024.jpg 1536w, https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/Slow-Cooker-Hot-Chocolate-Sample-1-10-2048x1366.jpg 2048w, https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/Slow-Cooker-Hot-Chocolate-Sample-1-10-150x100.jpg 150w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></a></figure></div>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Other hot chocolate recipes to try</h2>

<p>I&#8217;m not kidding when I say we love hot chocolate at our house! Some of our other favorite hot chocolate drinks are:</p>

<p>Grab your Instant Pot &#8211; it&#8217;s time to make some hot apple cider! You can make apple cider in a fraction of the time using your pressure cooker. Fall is the perfect time to whip up a batch of this Instant Pot apple cider. Plus, your house will smell amazing! </p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><a href="https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Apple-Cider-004.jpg" data-wpel-link="internal"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="683" height="1024" src="https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Apple-Cider-004-683x1024.jpg" alt="Easy Instant Pot Apple Cider" class="wp-image-27218" srcset="https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Apple-Cider-004-683x1024.jpg 683w, https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Apple-Cider-004-200x300.jpg 200w, https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Apple-Cider-004-768x1152.jpg 768w, https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Apple-Cider-004-1024x1536.jpg 1024w, https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Apple-Cider-004-1365x2048.jpg 1365w, https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Apple-Cider-004-150x225.jpg 150w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 683px) 100vw, 683px" /></a></figure></div>

<p>For me, it&#8217;s not truly fall until I have had my first <a href="https://mommakesdinner.com/pumpkin-spice-latte/" data-wpel-link="internal">pumpkin spice latte</a> for the season. I enjoy sipping my latte while thinking of the busy season ahead. Halloween, birthdays, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Apple cider is my husbands pumpkin spice latte. It&#8217;s not really fall for him until he has whipped up a batch of homemade apple cider. </p>

<p>This apple cider recipe is perfect for whipping up a quick batch to signal that fall is officially here. And if you love Instant Pot recipes, be sure to check out my other site &#8211; <a href="https://easyinstantpotdinners.com" data-wpel-link="external" target="_blank" rel="nofollow external noopener">easy Instant Pot dinners</a>! I hope you find a new favorite recipe.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Instant Pot Apple Cider</h2>

<p>Apple cider is unsweetened and unfiltered apple juice. We have an apple press and when you press out the apples and remove the guts, you are left with apple cider. When you put it in a jar or jug you will get sediment on the bottom since it&#8217;s not filtered. And that&#8217;s ok! It&#8217;s good for you. </p>

<p>This Instant Pot apple cider takes the concept of fresh pressed cider and turns it into a delicious fall drink. Instead of just the apples, we add in some oranges and spices that gives it an amazing flavor. It&#8217;s great hot, but you can also chill it and drink it cold. </p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Instant Pot Apple Cider Ingredients </h2>

<p>I love that this apple cider recipe uses only a handful of easy to find ingredients. You can probably grab them all at your local grocery store. To make this cider in your Instant Pot you will need: </p>

<ul class="wp-block-list"><li>Apples</li><li>Orange</li><li>Cinnamon sticks</li><li>Brown sugar</li><li>Cloves</li><li>Nutmeg</li><li>Water</li></ul>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><a href="https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Apple-Cider-002.jpg" data-wpel-link="internal"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Apple-Cider-002-1024x683.jpg" alt="ingredients needed to make apple cider in the instant pot" class="wp-image-27276" srcset="https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Apple-Cider-002-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Apple-Cider-002-300x200.jpg 300w, https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Apple-Cider-002-768x512.jpg 768w, https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Apple-Cider-002-1536x1024.jpg 1536w, https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Apple-Cider-002-2048x1365.jpg 2048w, https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Apple-Cider-002-150x100.jpg 150w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></a></figure></div>

<p><strong>Apples</strong> &#8211; You will need about a dozen apples for this recipe. Grab a variety of apples so that you get some sweet notes mixed in with some tart ones. Granny Smiths, Macintosh, Galas, etc. </p>

<p><strong>Orange</strong> &#8211; One orange is all that is needed here. It brings a great contrasting flavor in this cider. </p>

<p><strong>Cinnamon sticks</strong> &#8211; Grab a few cinnamon sticks to add in the Instant Pot when cooking. </p>

<p><strong>Brown sugar</strong> &#8211; Sometimes we add brown sugar and sometimes we leave it out. It gives a nice caramel-y flavor to the drink but is not needed for sweetness. </p>

<p><strong>Spices</strong> &#8211; Cloves and nutmeg are 2 spices that are perfect for fall baking. They add a great depth of flavor. You can use whole or ground cloves and nutmeg. You can also use<a href="https://mommakesdinner.com/apple-pie-spice/" data-wpel-link="internal"> apple pie spice </a>or even pumpkin pie spice, if you need a quick substitute. </p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">How to make apple cider in the Instant Pot</h2>

<p>Once you have gathered all your ingredients you will also need to grab: </p>

<ul class="wp-block-list"><li>Cutting board and knife</li><li>Measuring cups and spoons</li><li>Cheese cloth</li><li>Instant Pot</li></ul>

<p><strong>Step 1 Cut your fruit</strong></p>

<p>Using your cutting board and knife, slice up your fruit. They don&#8217;t have to be perfect as you are just going to pressure cook them until they are mushy and soft anyways. </p>

<figure class="wp-block-gallery aligncenter columns-2 is-cropped wp-block-gallery-2 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex"><ul class="blocks-gallery-grid"><li class="blocks-gallery-item"><figure><a href="https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Apple-Cider-005.jpg" data-wpel-link="internal"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="683" height="1024" src="https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Apple-Cider-005-683x1024.jpg" alt="Instant Pot apple cider recipe" data-id="27217" data-full-url="https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Apple-Cider-005.jpg" data-link="https://mommakesdinner.com/?attachment_id=27217" class="wp-image-27217" srcset="https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Apple-Cider-005-683x1024.jpg 683w, https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Apple-Cider-005-200x300.jpg 200w, https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Apple-Cider-005-768x1152.jpg 768w, https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Apple-Cider-005-1024x1536.jpg 1024w, https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Apple-Cider-005-1365x2048.jpg 1365w, https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Apple-Cider-005-150x225.jpg 150w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 683px) 100vw, 683px" /></a></figure></li><li class="blocks-gallery-item"><figure><a href="https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Apple-Cider-006.jpg" data-wpel-link="internal"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="683" height="1024" src="https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Apple-Cider-006-683x1024.jpg" alt="Apple cider in the Instant Pot " data-id="27216" data-full-url="https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Apple-Cider-006.jpg" data-link="https://mommakesdinner.com/?attachment_id=27216" class="wp-image-27216" srcset="https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Apple-Cider-006-683x1024.jpg 683w, https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Apple-Cider-006-200x300.jpg 200w, https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Apple-Cider-006-768x1152.jpg 768w, https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Apple-Cider-006-1024x1536.jpg 1024w, https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Apple-Cider-006-1366x2048.jpg 1366w, https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Apple-Cider-006-150x225.jpg 150w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 683px) 100vw, 683px" /></a></figure></li></ul></figure>

<p><strong>Step 2 Add it to your pot</strong></p>

<p>Place everything in your Instant Pot including water to cover everything. The fruit will give off some liquid as well, so don&#8217;t completely fill the pot with water. </p>

<p><strong>Step 3 Pressure cook</strong></p>

<p>Put your lid on your Instant Pot and cook on manual high pressure for 25 minutes. Allow it to come to pressure naturally for 10 minutes and then remove any built up pressure. </p>

<figure class="wp-block-gallery aligncenter columns-2 is-cropped wp-block-gallery-3 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex"><ul class="blocks-gallery-grid"><li class="blocks-gallery-item"><figure><a href="https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Apple-Cider-008.jpg" data-wpel-link="internal"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="683" height="1024" src="https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Apple-Cider-008-683x1024.jpg" alt="straining apple cider" data-id="27215" data-full-url="https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Apple-Cider-008.jpg" data-link="https://mommakesdinner.com/?attachment_id=27215" class="wp-image-27215" srcset="https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Apple-Cider-008-683x1024.jpg 683w, https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Apple-Cider-008-200x300.jpg 200w, https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Apple-Cider-008-768x1152.jpg 768w, https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Apple-Cider-008-1024x1536.jpg 1024w, https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Apple-Cider-008-1365x2048.jpg 1365w, https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Apple-Cider-008-150x225.jpg 150w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 683px) 100vw, 683px" /></a></figure></li><li class="blocks-gallery-item"><figure><a href="https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Apple-Cider-009.jpg" data-wpel-link="internal"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="683" height="1024" src="https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Apple-Cider-009-683x1024.jpg" alt="Instant Pot cider recipe" data-id="27220" data-full-url="https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Apple-Cider-009.jpg" data-link="https://mommakesdinner.com/?attachment_id=27220" class="wp-image-27220" srcset="https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Apple-Cider-009-683x1024.jpg 683w, https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Apple-Cider-009-200x300.jpg 200w, https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Apple-Cider-009-768x1152.jpg 768w, https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Apple-Cider-009-1024x1536.jpg 1024w, https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Apple-Cider-009-1365x2048.jpg 1365w, https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Apple-Cider-009-150x225.jpg 150w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 683px) 100vw, 683px" /></a></figure></li></ul></figure>

<p><strong>Step 4 Mash and strain</strong></p>

<p>Once you all the pressured released, use a potato masher to mash the apple and the orange. I would remove the cinnamon sticks before this step. Strain the cider through cheese cloth into a large pitcher or mason jar. Toss all the solids that are leftover. Enjoy warm. </p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><a href="https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Instant-Pot-Apple-Cider-1.jpg" data-wpel-link="internal"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="683" height="1024" src="https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Instant-Pot-Apple-Cider-1-683x1024.jpg" alt="Pressure cooker apple cider recipe" class="wp-image-27213" srcset="https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Instant-Pot-Apple-Cider-1-683x1024.jpg 683w, https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Instant-Pot-Apple-Cider-1-200x300.jpg 200w, https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Instant-Pot-Apple-Cider-1-768x1152.jpg 768w, https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Instant-Pot-Apple-Cider-1-1024x1536.jpg 1024w, https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Instant-Pot-Apple-Cider-1-1365x2048.jpg 1365w, https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Instant-Pot-Apple-Cider-1-150x225.jpg 150w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 683px) 100vw, 683px" /></a></figure></div>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">What&#8217;s the difference between apple juice and apple cider?</h2>

<p>Apple juice has been filtered and pasteurized. It is also lighter, sweeter and clearer. Apple cider is the raw juice that has not been filtered as much. There is often sediment at the bottom of apple cider glasses, which is normal and delicious!</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Is there alcohol in apple cider?</h2>

<p>Nope, there isn&#8217;t. Hard cider would be apple cider with alcohol. You can easily add a shot of vodka to your glass of apple cider to make it an adult-only beverage, if you&#8217;d like. </p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><a href="https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Instant-Pot-Apple-Cider-2.jpg" data-wpel-link="internal"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Instant-Pot-Apple-Cider-2-1024x683.jpg" alt="The best instant pot apple cider recipe" class="wp-image-27214" srcset="https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Instant-Pot-Apple-Cider-2-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Instant-Pot-Apple-Cider-2-300x200.jpg 300w, https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Instant-Pot-Apple-Cider-2-768x512.jpg 768w, https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Instant-Pot-Apple-Cider-2-1536x1024.jpg 1536w, https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Instant-Pot-Apple-Cider-2-2048x1365.jpg 2048w, https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Instant-Pot-Apple-Cider-2-150x100.jpg 150w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></a></figure></div>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">What kind of apples do I need?</h2>

<p>The great thing about this recipe is that you can use any apples that you&#8217;d like. I enjoy using a combination of sweet and tart apples for my apple cider. It produces a great depth of flavor. </p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Can you make apple cider with apple juice?</h2>

<p>Yes! You absolutely can. Replace the water with apple juice and omit the brown sugar if you plan to use apple juice in this recipe. </p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">How to make apple cider in a Crock Pot</h2>

<p>You can easily make this Instant Pot apple cider recipe in your slow cooker. Actually, my husband prefers it made in the Crock Pot! Follow all of the instructions but change the cook time to 3 hours. After 3 hours, mash the fruit and them strain it out. You can then leave it on the warm setting and pour it into glasses as needed. </p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><a href="https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Instant-Pot-Apple-Cider-3.jpg" data-wpel-link="internal"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Instant-Pot-Apple-Cider-3-1024x683.jpg" alt="How to make apple cider in the Instant Pot" class="wp-image-27221" srcset="https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Instant-Pot-Apple-Cider-3-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Instant-Pot-Apple-Cider-3-300x200.jpg 300w, https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Instant-Pot-Apple-Cider-3-768x512.jpg 768w, https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Instant-Pot-Apple-Cider-3-1536x1024.jpg 1536w, https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Instant-Pot-Apple-Cider-3-2048x1365.jpg 2048w, https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Instant-Pot-Apple-Cider-3-150x100.jpg 150w, https://mommakesdinner.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Instant-Pot-Apple-Cider-3-735x490.jpg 735w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></a></figure></div>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Tips and tricks</h2>

<p>This is a pretty straightforward recipe, but here are some tips to make it even better. </p>

<ol class="wp-block-list"><li>You don&#8217;t have to remove the cinnamon sticks or the whole cloves from the Instant Pot before you mash it. Some people prefer too, but they will get strained out later. </li><li>Garnish your drink with a slice of apple or orange and an additional cinnamon stick. </li><li>Allow the apple cider to cool a bit before drinking. It will be VERY hot! </li></ol>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">How to store leftovers</h2>

<p>Place any leftover cider in a large pitcher and place it in the fridge. You can heat it up in the microwave or on the stove top when you want to enjoy it again. You can also drink it cold! </p>

<p><strong>Can I freeze apple cider?</strong></p>

<p>Yes! You can freeze apple cider. Allow it to cool and then place it in an empty plastic milk jug. Leave some space on top for it to expand. Place it in your freezer. You can freeze it for up to 3 months. Remove it to the fridge and allow it to defrost when you want another glass. </p>
