If you’re like me – you want a delicious cup of coffee QUICK in the mornings. I love being able to make copycat coffee drinks at home, but some of them take a little longer that I’d like. That’s one of the things that I love about this maple cinnamon latte – it’s super quick so you can have your morning Joe in no time!
Maple Cinnamon Latte
If you’ve been around awhile, you may know that my all time favorite copycat drink is the cinnamon dolce latte. This maple cinnamon version tastes similar but with a sweeter aftertaste due to the maple. It is an espresso based drink that utilizes maple syrup to sweeten it. You will love this latte because:
- it uses simple, everyday ingredients
- it’s easy to make
- cheaper than going to the coffee house
- tastes amazing
What is a latte? A latte is a coffee drink made with steamed milk and espresso. Check out all my other latte recipes here.
Ingredients needed
With most homemade coffee drinks, you only need a few common ingredients to whip up a delicious caffeinated beverage. To make this maple cinnamon latte you will need:
- Milk
- Espresso
- Maple syrup
- Vanilla extract
- Cinnamon
Milk – You can use your favorite milk or milk alternative here to make it dairy free. I love using heavy cream in my lattes because it makes it taste like melted ice cream!
Espresso – Use a high quality espresso for your lattes. If you don’t have an espresso machine you can use instant espresso or hot coffee.
Maple syrup – Your favorite maple syrup will work here. We always try to use local maple syrup as it’s similar to honey and helps with allergies! Double win!
Vanilla extract – Store bought or homemade work here.
Cinnamon – You need a pinch of ground cinnamon for this latte.
How to make a maple cinnamon latte
There are only a few steps to make this latte. Brew, mix, warm and froth. Let’s break down how to make this maple cinnamon latte a little bit more.
Step 1: Make the espresso. Brew your espresso shot. Don’t have an espresso maker? Use a cup of hot coffee or instant espresso instead! This is my favorite instant espresso for coffee. Pour it in a coffee cup or mug.
Step 2: Add sweetener. Add in the maple syrup, cinnamon and vanilla extract to the hot espresso or coffee. Stir to combine.
Step 3: Warm and froth the milk. In a saucepan, warm the milk over medium heat. Stop it before it starts to boil. Remove from heat and use a milk frother to add air into the milk and make it fluffy.
Step 4: Add milk. Pour the frothed milk over the coffee drink. Top with a sprinkle of cinnamon and enjoy.

What kind of coffee do I need? I always recommend espresso or a high quality coffee. The better the coffee the more it will taste like one of those fancy Starbucks drinks.
Can I make it dairy free? You sure can! Substitute the milk for your favorite non-dairy milk. Oat, almond or coconut milk would be great in place of the cows milk.
