Hi all! Happy day-before-Valentines to yall! I went to the store yesterday and it was madness. Everyone was running around looking for the perfect card or candy for their sweetheart. Instead of a store bought gift Im giving my hubby something homemade. And it involves food.. of course!
I bought some strawberries and whipped up some chocolate covered strawberries for my sweetie.. and me. And if thats not awesome enough for ya.. the tutorial is my first vlog! (Video blog) Im so excited to share this with yall.. I dont even care how dorky I sound in the video.
How many times did I say fancy in the video?! Haha.. a lot! I told ya I was dorky! Aside from how dorky I truly am.. how easy is it to make these bad boys? Soooo easy! And so much cheaper then buying them from the store.
Some of my better strawberries. They might not look perfect but dang they taste good!
I made mine fancy with white chocolate drizzle. Fancy. I think Im obsessed with that word today.
A whole plate of chocolate-y strawberry goodness. Some of my white chocolate was more clump-y then drizzle-y but it all tastes the same. Delicious.
What do yall think? Worth trying? Ps.. what are your plans for Valentines day?!
**Just a little note on cleaning – When your trying to clean the pans or the spoon you use and the chocolate is already hard, put them under hot water. Itll melt the chocolate and you can wipe them clean. Easy peasy!

They look wonderful! We have eaten up all of our Valentine's treats that I have been blogging all week. I don't know if I will be able to get out and get something either, so he will just have to review my last week of blog entries! No, really, we are having a little get together here with desserts and appetizers and it should be fun. These would be great.

Those look great. My Valentine's plans are to put the kids down as early as they will stand it (I'm thinking the early side of 6:30!), light a fire and drink some champagne with my husband, and hope the baby doesn't wake up. Crazy how times have changes since we got married and had three kids!

Yum! I'll have to make these once strawberries start looking decent. I used to live in the middle of strawberry fields so they were both cheap and delicious! It's made me picky and cheap about strawberries!

They're beautiful. I worked with almond bark for the first time recently with pretzel sticks. Good tip for cleanup…I wished I had used a disposable container. 🙂
