The number one reason that I love the fall months is because I dont have to change my decor each month. For three months my house is orange, brown and full of pumpkins. All I have to do is add a few holiday specific decorations and the first place I started this year was my mantel.
My Thanksgiving mantel is a cross between my fall mantel and my Halloween mantel with a few new additions. [Can you spot them?]
I found the ‘Autumn Harvest’ banner at the Target dollar bins and use push pins to tack it up. The banner is the only other new addition to the mantel.. everything else has been hanging out on the mantel since September.
My little birdie wreath made another appearance on the mantel along with dozen or so fake pumpkins that I hoard have. The bunch of fall foliage is in a homemade cornucopia that I will share with yall later. [Its way cute and so easy to make!]
My ‘banner’ is strips of ribbon attached to my jute string with some clips I scored from Pick Your Plum. Its similar to the one I made for Avery’s first birthday party. I clearly have a thing for simple crafts.
This mantel makes me want to eat turkey and spend time laughing over pumpkin pie and coffee with my family. Which is perfect because we are hosting Thanksgiving at our new place this year! I am excited and nervous.. but at least I dont have to worry about the decorations.
