Hello all! Saturdays are one of my favorite days. I get to sleep in and its Mommy Panel day! Whats not to love?
This weeks question:
What personality traits do you hope your kid will grow up to have?
Mommy: Brandy
I want my kids to grow up to be kind, unselfish, confident, self reliant, contributing members of society. I want them to know who they are and appreciate that they are unique and wonderful because they are themselves. I want them to help others while still taking care of themselves. Is that too much to ask?
Mommy: Michaela
I hope that my little girl continues to be as endlessly curious as she is now. I hope she will also still laugh all the time. She has an amazing smile that seems to touch people. I hope she uses that smile to be kind to others.
I want her to make the choice to follow Christ. But I want it to be her deep and personal choice and not because of anyone else.
I hope that her father and I can model for her putting others first, always dreaming big, taking risks, and knowing the difference between people in our lives and true friends.
Mommy: Ann
Perseverance. I hope they learn that if something is worth having, it’s worth putting in the time and effort to get it, and not give up in the process.
Mommy: Amie
I hope that my child will get my outgoing personality, and my quirkiness! 🙂 The willingness to ask questions, and to be funny like Daddy!
Mommy: Natalia
I hope my boys are strong, independent, think for themselves, aren’t bullied but also arent the bullier. I hope they are nice and loving to others and sensitive to other’s needs yet strong in their own right. I hope they could run a company if they wanted to. But most of all, bottom line, I hope they love the Lord with all their hearts and want to serve Him in whatever endeavor they choose!
Mommy: Emily
Oh goodness, that’s a tough one. I don’t know if this is a “personality trait”, but I hope she’s compassionate and sensitive to the needs of others. I hope she grows up to have a strong moral compass and a desire to do what is right before God and man. I hope she has a strong sense of her own inherent worth…and, also understands the worth of everyone else. I guess those aren’t personality traits. But..it’s still what I hope for her life!
Mommy: Melissa
On a day to day basis I tell them how awesome/sweet/smart/pretty/handsome they are so I truly hope they have confidence. And I want them to be kind, giving, but yet have a backbone. Also I really hope they are positive. I am the type to see a positive in every situation possible and that is something I really love about myself. To see my kids grow up with that attitude would make me very proud.
I know that no matter what they will be who they want to be and in the end all I can do is give them the direction.
Mommy: Karen
I hope my son will grow up to be thoughtful, kind and compassionate. I hope he will have a good work ethic and know how to persevere when things are difficult. I hope he will have a high standard of personal integrity.
Mommy: Missy
First of all I want my children to love God and respect him. I want my children to grow up to be honest, kind and compassionate. To have compassion for other human beings no matter what country they live in. I want them to be their self no matter what others think. I want them to be the kind of person that knows they do not have to be perfect to be Christian. I want them to know the power of honesty and the destruction of lies so that they will take pride in honesty.
Mommy: Cori
I hope that my little guy has a great sense of humor! My husband and I laugh a lot-and goof off a lot! I believe in life, you have to be that way or it will be too darn hard. So many things in life are serious and I want him to be laughing thought out life!
Mommy: Amanda
I hope our daughter grows up to be kind, generous, forgiving, honest, creative, spontaneous, supportive… I could go on and on 🙂
Mommy: Tonii
Oh man…there are SO many! I think the ones I hope for the most are that they will grow up to be kind, always have a grateful heart, and motivated to make their lives the very best they can be. You can’t always choose the circumstances that life deals you…but I hope they will be able to CHOOSE happiness and radiate that to all around them 🙂
Mommy: Jill
I hope that my children will grow up to have bubbly personalities. I want them to be outgoing and talkative. I want them to have no fear of trying new things. I want them to be excited to learn. I want them to be happy and easy going. I am working hard at trying to teach my children these things right now, but lets face it sometimes its hard to get them the way you want them to be! I have to remind myself of this a lot because they are born with their own personalities and they are going to be how they want to be!
Mommy: Liz
Patience for herself. She is pretty patient with other people, but very hard on herself. I’m trying to teach her not to sweat the small stuff so much.
Something I’m glad they all already have is compassion and respect for others. I hope that continues.
Mommy: Anitra
Right now, my 3 year old son is the most impatient kid EVER. Ok, I know part of it is the age, but I swear he’s been this way since birth. I really hope that when he gets older he can be a little more patient. He is also the most loving kid. He always tells me he loves me, gives me hugs, and wants to hold my hand any time I’m near him. I hope he continues to be that way as an adult. In my opinion, nothing is better than someone who genuinely loves and cares about people and doesn’t mind showing it.
As for my one year old daughter….I can only hope she inherits all of her mothers perfect personality traits 🙂
Mommy: Brittney
Oh boy, have I already thought about this one a LOT!!!
I’d like her to have my aptness for structure and responsibility. (How great would it be to have a kid you don’t have to fight with to get them to do their homework?!) But I want her to have my husband’s creativity and ability to be flexible.
I also hope she is a loving person to everyone!
