Super easy meatball sliders are perfect for dinner or as an appetizer.
Sometimes when Ryon gets home from work and asks about dinner I like to tell him I forgot to cook and watch his facial expressions. Nine times out of ten he thinks Im serious. You think the man would know by now that I like to eat as much as he does. [Well, not as much as he does. He’s a boy and boys eat a lot.] But some days I almost do forget to cook dinner and around 2 or 3 o’clock I start to panic. What am I going am I going to be able to cook in such a short period of time? Have no fear! The meatball slider is here!
These are a perfect easy homemade recipe to whip up in a pinch because you only need a few things to make them.
- 10 Frozen meatballs
- 1 can Pasta sauce
- 5 Rolls
- 1/4 Stick of Butter
- Sliced Parmesan cheese
To make these add your frozen meatballs and can of pasta sauce to a pot. Bring the sauce to a boil and then bring it down to a simmer. While it is simmering, cut and butter your rolls. Place them buttered side down on a separate frying pan to make them nice and crispy. Add a meatball (or two!), sauce and some shredded Parmesan to your rolls. Stand back and wear your wife of the year badge proudly.
I paired the sliders with some really easy basil Parmesan potato chips. I shaved potatoes and sprinkled [lots] of Parmesan and some basil on them before sticking them in the oven. I had those cooking in the oven while I was doing everything else. The house smelled between the meatballs and pasta sauce and the Parmesan basil that Ryon didn’t even need to ask about dinner.
