Looking for menu inspiration? We’ve got you covered!
Hey friend! A few of yall know this already, but I am SO not a morning person! I am the kind of person that hits snooze a couple of times and I have to drag myself out of bed. If the day could start at 10 AM every day, I would be just fine with life. But with the kids in school and a newborn, I am up bright and early every day. I don’t hate it like I thought I would, but I sure do enjoy the weekends a whole lot more. I get to sleep in and make a real breakfast. School day breakfasts are normally cereal or toast and out the door we go. (Do people cook full breakfasts on school days??)
I have found that schedules are everything now. Before school started and even last year when the kids went part time, we were more lax. On well, everything. Dinner? Sometime between 6 or 7. Bedtime? How does 9 o’clock sound today? Good. Did you shower yesterday? No? Ok we’ll do that tomorrow.
Now? Dinner at 6. Bed at 8:30. Up at 6. Lunches packed the night before. Out the door at 7:20. Bath every other day. And menus! We have a chalkboard and I write our breakfast options on there and our dinner for the week. It’s not written in stone (clearly, it’s chalk.. lol) but it helps me a ton. There are some great menu ideas and I try a new recipe (or two!) every week. I hope these menu plans help you during the hectic week as well!
