Lemon poppy seed bread

Ingredients

sugar butter eggs vanilla extract lemon juice and zest milk flour baking soda salt poppy seeds powdered sugar

Instructions to help make the best lemon poppy seed bread.

Cream the butter and the sugar.

Add in the eggs and vanilla.

Mix in the lemon juice and zest.

Mix in the flour, baking soda and milk. Then milk. Continue until combined.

Stir in poppy seeds.

Pour the batter into a prepared baking dish. Bake for 45-60 minutes.

Remove and allow to cool. Make the icing while cooling.

Ice the cooled loaf of bread. Slice and serve.

Place the bread back in the baking dish and cover. Store on the counter on in the fridge. Wrap the bread in freezer paper and place in a Ziplock bag in the freezer.
