Whisk the eggs and the sugar together until combined.

Transfer to a large saucepan and add the milk and spices.

Heat until 160 degrees, remove from heat and then whisk in heavy cream and spices.

Place in the fridge to cool. Eggnog will thicken as it cools.

Pour into glasses, add a sprinkle of nutmeg or cinnamon and enjoy.
