Hi friends!  I betcha got worried when I didnt have a menu Monday yesterday right?  Well call back the blog search party.. Im here!  My husbands cousins have been in town and I have been having so much fun hanging out with them.  Family trumps blog.   

One day while we were shopping I started to wonder if people can tell who I really am through my blog.  I write honestly and try to show my sense of humor through my posts.. and lets be honest.. Im hilarious!  Well.. in my head I am, and man do I crack myself up!  [Seriously.. I do.. I just snortled reading this.]  

I had asked for questions on my facebook page for a get to know me vlog and got one question to answer.  [Thanks Jennifer!]  So I asked my cousins to give me some questions to answer.  I wish I could pick a favorite part of the video.. but I love the whole thing!  I might just watch it every day and laugh at myself.  

Thats me.. honestly and truly thats how I act.  Like a child.  I know.  And here is the link that I was talking about for the blogger tips.  And just in case the video wasnt goofy enough.. Grace and I leave you with these gems.. 

Sometimes we write a post that is great and sometimes we write posts that are out of this world amazing.  These are posts that people will keep coming back to for reference and will generate tons of traffic on your site.  Its good to recycle these posts every once in awhile in order to keep up traffic.  There are a few ways to get more page views on older posts.  The two Im going to share with you today are pretty simple and require minimal effort.  

I know this sounds silly, but its true.  Share your out of this world amazing post at link parties, on your social media sites or offer them as guest posts.  They had a great response the first time and its only to be expected that it will the second time around.  

LinkWithin is a widget that appears under each post with stories that might interest the viewer.  Its free, easy to easy and require no registration.  

All you do is fill out the information above and they walk you through the install process.  I love this little gadget because it not only recycles my posts but it keeps readers on my page longer.  Which is a good thing.  

So there ya have it.  Two simple ways to increase traffic using your old posts.

A scheduled post is one that you set up to automatically publish at a specific date and time.  Its convenient to have a pre-written post that you schedule so that you can take care of other bloggy things.  But like most things in life, having the time to write and post let alone one that you can schedule is hard.  I do alot of nap time and bed time blogging and try to have my posts ready for the week.   

Its fairly simple to schedule a post.  Look to the left on your compose screen and find the setting that says ‘Schedule’.  Once you click on it there are two options:

Automatic – Your post will show up as soon as you press publish

Set date and time – You choose when your post will publish

Once you click the ‘Set date and time’ tab you will see a calendar and a time table.  You can choose your own time and day to have your post publish.  Just be aware of timezone differences.  I am in the Central timezone, so when I schedule my posts for 4:30 PM they wont appear until 630PM my time.  

Click ‘Done’ and go on with your bloggy business.  Just another simple blogger tutorial that will make your life easier.
