A scheduled post is one that you set up to automatically publish at a specific date and time. Its convenient to have a pre-written post that you schedule so that you can take care of other bloggy things. But like most things in life, having the time to write and post let alone one that you can schedule is hard. I do alot of nap time and bed time blogging and try to have my posts ready for the week.
Its fairly simple to schedule a post. Look to the left on your compose screen and find the setting that says ‘Schedule’. Once you click on it there are two options:
Automatic – Your post will show up as soon as you press publish
Set date and time – You choose when your post will publish
Once you click the ‘Set date and time’ tab you will see a calendar and a time table. You can choose your own time and day to have your post publish. Just be aware of timezone differences. I am in the Central timezone, so when I schedule my posts for 4:30 PM they wont appear until 630PM my time.
Click ‘Done’ and go on with your bloggy business. Just another simple blogger tutorial that will make your life easier.

Here's a question….when I publish my post, it shows up right away on my blog (like I want it to) but, it doesn't show up on my dashboard or anyone else's dashboard (in blogger), until like 4 hours later. I've check my time zone and everything looks correct. What's the deal with the delay?
Also, how do I get a photo to show up next to my post on the dashboard in blogger? Almost everyone else has a photo in their post show up and mine never shows…. Help?? 🙂

Oh man, it actually took me forever to figure out how to do this. Now it's my life line.
And as to Angela's question, blogger is weird, sometimes it shows up RIGHT NOW and sometimes it takes a while. Blogger's issue.

I've been scheduling my blogs and had not problems…until the last two days. Everything was scheduled as normal, but when I checked to see if it posted it was still showing as scheduled. The time, date and time zone were all right. I had to edit post and then just hit schedule again and it immediately posted (2 hours after the actual schedule time). Any ideas or is this just a Blogger random issue again? Thanks!
