I have made this Dutch baby for years now- using our pears from our Asian pear tree. I put 1 tbs butter in iron skillet and melt on stove. The 1/4 cup butter goes in the batter - I always struggle a bit to recall the melted butter in skillet is in addition to the 1/4 cup in batter. But I overthink every recipe, but just reminding others who may question that too. This is the best recipe! Use cast iron!!! Thank you for this recipe!!!

Dutch babies are awesome! So easy to make and you can toss anything in with them. You've got to try one Ashley :)
