Ohhh I changed the recipe – you are right! 1 tea bag and one cup of water will make ONE CHAI TEA! ha! Thank you for catching that.

I’ve just made this spice mix and it smells divine but I’m just wondering about the quantities when you make it up. If you use two teabags, two tablespoons of spice mix and two cups of water, doesn’t this make two cups of chai? Also if your’re making a chai latte, would you steep everything in milk instead of water?

This is the closest mix to my India friends chai mix. Of course hers is a “family recipe ” that she swore not to give out!! LOL. But she said it’s extremely close. I think her secret is adding fresh ground green cardamom to theirs. Put some whole green cardamom seeds in mine. Love cooking India dishes. Have own spice tin just for that. Love mix.
